The National Educational Policy Framework

To ensure effective transformation of the Education Sector in Sri Lanka carried out in a systematic manner, the legislation to be made or the existing rules, regulations and related procedures shall be revised and new strategic approaches shall be introduced and evaluated having time frames within one year of the approval of the National Education Policy Framework. Ministry of Education is the key role in the implementation and will be guided by an Oversight Committee established under the Presidential Secretariat.
